WhatsApp phishing simulation · private beta
Phishing doesn’t stop at the inbox
A WhatsApp message never passes through your email gateway. SecurityRing’s WhatsApp phishing simulations, now in private beta and not generally available, let you practise the chat-based requests attackers use, with reviewed messages, a short lesson after a slip and results in the same reports as email.
Private beta access: reach out to us by email at neha@securityring.ai.
Hi, it’s Rahul from Finance. The CFO needs the vendor payment approved before 4 pm today. Can you confirm on the portal?

Why WhatsApp
Your email gateway protects the inbox. The next request may arrive in a chat.
Social engineering follows people across channels. An impersonated colleague, a payment request or an account-verification link can arrive in a conversation outside the corporate email system.
Outside email inspection
Email filtering and sender-authentication checks apply to email. They do not inspect WhatsApp messages on an employee’s phone.
Familiar context, unusual request
A recognisable name or work pretext makes a chat feel credible, and urgency pushes people to act before they verify.
Verify before acting
Employees need to spot the request, check the sender through a trusted channel and report it, wherever the message arrives.
Keep your messaging, browser, endpoint and identity protections. Simulations complement them by practising the decisions people still have to make.
How it works
Review. Simulate. Measure.
WhatsApp campaigns use the same SecurityRing workflow as email.
Prepare a reviewed message
Draft a message with AI or reuse an approved template, then preview the message and its controlled landing page.
Run a scoped campaign
Choose authorized employees or departments, check recipient eligibility and schedule delivery.
Teach after a slip
Anyone who acts on the message gets the campaign’s short lesson and quiz, where configured.
Review outcomes
See tracked link visits, QR scans, reports and training completion in the campaign and trend reports.
Private beta: WhatsApp simulation is enabled per workspace and needs sender readiness and approved message templates before anything is sent.
Measurement
Delivery evidence, kept apart from employee outcomes
Delivery evidence
Sent, delivered, read, failed and opt-out signals, where WhatsApp makes them available.
Employee outcomes
Tracked link visits, QR scans, reports to the security team, quiz and training completion, where configured.
Receiving or reading a message does not, by itself, mean someone failed the simulation. Outcomes depend on the campaign’s objective and the evidence recorded.

Is WhatsApp phishing simulation available today?
It is in private beta and not generally available yet. It is enabled per workspace, and sending needs sender readiness and approved message templates. Email phishing simulations, including deepfake video inside email, are live today. LinkedIn and voice-call (vishing) simulations are coming soon. Talk to us if you want to join the private beta.
How do we get access to the WhatsApp private beta?
Reach out to us by email at neha@securityring.ai. We enable the private beta per workspace once sender readiness and message templates are approved.
How does a WhatsApp simulation fit into a SecurityRing campaign?
It uses the same workflow as email: you draft or reuse a message template, review the message and its controlled landing page, choose the authorized employees or departments and schedule delivery. The message links to the campaign's reviewed landing page, training and quiz where configured, and the results appear in the campaign and trend reports.
What does SecurityRing measure in a WhatsApp campaign?
It keeps delivery evidence (sent, delivered, read, failed and opt-out signals where available) separate from employee outcomes (tracked link visits, QR scans, reports to the security team, quiz and training completion where configured). Receiving or reading a message does not, by itself, count as failing the simulation.
Why might I receive a WhatsApp simulation?
Your organization may include you in an authorized phishing simulation to help you recognize social engineering in WhatsApp messages. The simulated message leads to a controlled page and a short lesson. If you are unsure why you received a message, check with your organization's security team before acting on it.
Do I need to share passwords or payment details?
No. Never send real passwords, one-time codes or payment details through chat. SecurityRing simulations use controlled training pages and are designed not to keep text typed into simulated credential fields.
Who operates this, and how do I ask about my data or stop messages?
WhatsApp simulation (also called Messaging Service) is a SecurityRing product, operated by 9DSEMBER SOFTWARE PRIVATE LIMITED, India. For recipient questions and opt-out requests, contact your organization's program administrator or email neha@securityring.ai. The SecurityRing Privacy Policy explains how workforce and campaign information is handled.
