What this channel is, and what you can do now
What vishing is
Vishing is phishing by phone: a caller impersonates a bank, an IT helpdesk, a regulator or a senior colleague to get a payment, a password, an OTP or remote access.
Why voices are harder now
The FBI warned in December 2024 that criminals use AI-generated audio (voice cloning) to impersonate people and elicit payments.
What you can practise today
Deepfake video of a consenting leader, delivered inside an email simulation, is live. Employees practise the same decision: stop, and verify the request through a trusted channel.
Can SecurityRing run vishing simulations today?
No. Voice-call (vishing) simulation is coming soon and is not available today. Email simulations, including deepfake video of your own leaders inside email, are live. WhatsApp is in private beta.
How do I join the vishing waitlist?
Email neha@securityring.ai with the subject “Vishing simulation waitlist”. We will tell you when voice-call simulation is ready; we do not have a date to share yet.
What can we use instead right now?
Run a deepfake-in-email simulation: an email carries a short video of a consenting leader asking for something unusual, and anyone who acts on it gets a lesson on that exact message. It practises the verify-before-acting habit that vishing also targets.
