What this channel is, and what you can do now
What smishing is
Smishing is phishing by text message: a short SMS with a link or a number to call, often posing as a delivery, a bank, a tax refund or an account problem.
Why it matters at work
A text lands on a personal phone, outside the corporate email gateway, so the employee’s judgement is the main control.
What you can practise today
QR-code phishing inside email simulations is live: it moves the victim from a work inbox to a phone, the same move from laptop to phone that many phone-based lures rely on.
Can SecurityRing run SMS (smishing) simulations today?
No. SMS (smishing) simulation is coming soon and is not available today. Email simulations, including QR-code and ClickFix attacks and deepfake video inside email, are live. WhatsApp is in private beta.
How do I join the smishing waitlist?
Email neha@securityring.ai with the subject “Smishing simulation waitlist”. We will tell you when SMS simulation is ready; we do not have a date to share yet.
What can we use instead right now?
Run a QR-code phishing simulation in email: it practises the moment a lure moves someone from a laptop to a phone. Anyone who acts on it gets a short lesson on that exact message.
